With all of our days off and delayed openings recently (and in the near future, as it looks right now!), I hope these posts help everyone stay on track, as we have a lot of work to do!

2. Finish theme poster
3. Write chapter 7 for Rite of Passage
4. Start your essay for the Rite of Passage test--we do have at least 2 computer lab days next week for you to work on this essay in-class as well.
5. Test on Rite of Passage on Monday, 2/13 (if there is school); the vocabulary section will be on the next day of school after we begin the test, so either Tues. or Wed.
***Attached are a number of these assignments.
Sports Lit.
1. Work on the Bleachers essay--due 2/15
2. Work on a complete draft of the Will McDonough contest writing piece--due 2/17.
***See assignments attached.
Euro. Lit. and Phil.
1. Read pgs. 115-125 of Nilolai Gogol's, "The Overcoat" for the next day we are in class. This story/novella is online if you do not have your book with you. Read up to the line, "walked out annihilated."
2. Honors students should be reading and gathering information for the independent reading assignment on One Day in the Life of Ivan Denisovich. This assignment can be turned in before vacation, 2/17 or is due at the latest on 2/28, when we return from vacation (if you want it hanging over your head that long!).
