Am. Lit.: Prepare for The Scarlet Letter essay.
Lit. Comp. I: Read pgs. 38-55 (Penguin); 42 to mid-61 in other ed. of Of Mice and Men. Honors: be sure to start reading The Pearl.
Above, hopefully, are the essay topics if you need them for our in-class writing assignment this week. I am still working with this site design, and apparently I can only link one item at a time, so I will be putting documents and items you may need in the blog section here. Check my blog for past items you may need. See you in class on Monday.
Read ch. 1 of our new novel Of Mice and Men. Do the study guide questions for class discussion tomorrow. Also, study a little bit for our first CCW quiz tomorrow. I will do my best to attach these files in the Learn More section for the class.
Finish webquest for Of Mice and Men (should be in the additional links for the class if needed). Honors--start reading The Pearl for your independent reading project for this quarter.
Worked on journals and study guides for chs. 9-24. Watched more of the grey-eyed Hester version of the novel. Dimmesdale and Hester reunite in the woods. Pearl throws a tantrum while she smiles maniacally.
